Avey Tare - Laughing Hieroglyphic (Live)
This a a picture from my iPhone. I took it while some sweaty bouncer told jostled me to put it away. But HAH! the jokes on him! He didn’t see the recorder i was holding the whole time. Right in front of his stupid face. So now we all get to enjoy some of the new Avey Tare set that I recorded. This is from his second ever solo show on his smallish east coast tour that only went as far south as D.C. I’m afriad. Avey played quite a bit of yet to be unidentified material. Im not sure if the “new” tracks were just unused songs from Down There or new creations for more solo Avey releases. My guess however is that they were DT era tracks that just were far too uppity for the mood he wanted for that album. It is definitely a positive now that Dave Portner is in fact dating Deradoorian as she was the opener for them at MPP, and she was spotted backstage earlier tonight with Dave, Joshmin, and Brian. I got to meet Brian for the first time and he was very very polite. I also met Eric Copeland and had him sign a 7” of his. very cool guy. Man what another amazing night. Damn.
